Text-to-pay can shorten the path from reminder to resolution. A responsible design keeps sensitive data out of the message and directs the recipient to an approved payment experience.
Keep the message simple
Identify the sender and purpose clearly, use approved disclosure language, and avoid exposing account or payment details on a locked screen.
Secure the handoff
Use the designated processor and appropriate authentication. Confirm how links expire, how wrong recipients are handled, and how payment results return to the account system.
Respect choice
Provide opt-out handling and alternative channels. Text should be a convenience within a broader customer-service process, not the only way to address an account.
